# Semrush connector

> Connect WRITER Agent to Semrush to access SEO, keyword, traffic, and competitive research data

This guide shows you how to configure the [Semrush](https://www.semrush.com/) connector for WRITER Agent. After setting up this connector, WRITER Agent can access Semrush data through the [Semrush MCP server](https://www.semrush.com/blog/what-is-mcp-connector/), including keyword research, domain analytics, backlink data, traffic analytics, and competitive insights.

## Set up the Semrush connector

Configure the Semrush connector in [AI Studio](https://app.writer.com/aistudio) under **Connectors & Tools**.

<Note>
  Dynamic client registration means Semrush dynamically creates and manages
  OAuth credentials during the setup process. You don't need to create your own
  OAuth application or provide a client ID and client secret.
</Note>

### Configure the connector in AI Studio

1. Navigate to **Connectors & Tools** in [AI Studio](https://app.writer.com/aistudio)
2. Select the Semrush connector
3. Enter a profile name and description for the connector
4. Select who has access by default (all users or specific teams)
5. Select **Next** to proceed to connection configuration
6. Select **Dynamic client registration** as the connection type
7. Select which tools to enable for your agents
8. Complete the OAuth authorization flow

After configuration, end users authenticate with their own Semrush account through WRITER Agent the first time they use the connector.
