# Atlassian connector

> Connect WRITER Agent to Atlassian to access Jira and Confluence content and manage work items and pages

This guide shows you how to configure the [Atlassian](https://www.atlassian.com/) connector for WRITER Agent. After setting up this connector, WRITER Agent can search and read Jira issues and Confluence pages, create and update Jira work items, and create and edit Confluence pages.

## Set up the Atlassian connector

Configure the Atlassian connector in [AI Studio](https://app.writer.com/aistudio) under **Connectors & Tools**.

<Note>
  Dynamic client registration means Atlassian dynamically creates and manages
  OAuth credentials during the setup process. You don't need to create your own
  OAuth application or provide a client ID and client secret.
</Note>

### Configure the connector in AI Studio

1. Navigate to **Connectors & Tools** in [AI Studio](https://app.writer.com/aistudio)
2. Select the Atlassian connector
3. Enter a profile name and description for the connector
4. Select who has access by default (all users or specific teams)
5. Select **Next** to proceed to connection configuration
6. Select **Dynamic client registration** as the connection type
7. Select which tools to enable for your agents
8. Complete the OAuth authorization flow
